At
@gdcfpday 2018 some tips@markbates recommended taking your topic, and infusing it with your perspective and takeaway on it. That shows what people will learn at your talk, and you can add your personality to the abstract that way -
Oh another tip (from
@StabbyCutyou at the same workshop) is that to tell what subjects people are interested in, you can write blog posts and then submit talks for the most popular/discussed ones! I myself use blogs as raw material for most of my talks

Always mention what it will do for to the audience members--what will it teach them? what will they leave with?

Keep it short. Don't over-engineer. Usually this is particularly hard for new speakers as they're eager to 'show what they have'.

Pick a subject you're passionate about and think of the key thing people should take away from your talk. Organisers appreciate abstracts that are clear and concise on the topic while telling us a bit about the speaker and their motivation at the same time.

Understand your audience, what they're interested in and what the key takeaways will be. That means if there are specific actions people could start taking once they're back in work, or any lessons learned for them to keep in mind!

@SpeakersInTech is right - aim for 2-3 concepts, especially if a demo is involved - you'll have the right amount of material to describe w/o being tight on time when creating & presenting the deck ^PDeBHvala. Twitter će to iskoristiti za poboljšanje vaše vremenske crte. PoništiPoništi
