if you grew up working class what’s something that absolutely ISN’T posh but you thought it was? me - when we had burgers for tea sometimes my dad would toast the bread bun under the grill and I’d be like ‘fuck a duck we’re being fancy tonight when did we become royalty’
btw this isn’t for anything I’m just dead curious about all the daft things growing up that we think are so posh. in fact not even just growing up, until a couple years ago I’d never eaten feta cheese cause I thought it was for posh folk hahahaha
still to this day I see these and think ‘you deffo have a pony’

There’s a transport cafe 4 miles from my house in Leeds on the road to York and Scarborough. It was always way too close to visit as part of a trip. I walked there last year in desperation, age 39. Worth it to heal 39 years of pain

After Eights. Only ever came out after my parents had friends over for tea and even then I was only allowed one or two. Used to force myself to stay awake despite being put to bed hours ago so I could get a couple of those badbois by the end of the night.
My Gran used to take me to the local department store for a drink and a cake on Saturday afternoons. I thought it was so sophisticated, like I was dining at the Ritz
