We are entering a new era of human-machine co-creation. If we allow ourselves to dream, then it’s easy to imagine a future where Generative AI is deeply embedded in how we work, create and play. 👽🤠 Excited to share our musings on the space here: sequoiacap.com/article/genera

We give companies a meaningful amount of capital to get started or to supplement an existing round, enough so companies can focus on building without having to jump right into fundraising again once the program is finished.

It’s taught by the entire group of Sequoia partners ourselves. These are people who are the best in the business - who have operated themselves and seen hundreds of companies grow up, from 🌱 to🪴to 🌲.

The focus is on foundational company building knowledge - where to aim the company, how do you set the right culture to aim high, hiring fundamentals, and everything else that makes up the strong core that every company needs to succeed 🚀.

It’s a small group, 15-20 founders max. We are keeping the group small to built a truly tight knit, powerful community of the best seed founders we can find. This is a group that can rely on each other and have the context to go deep as they begin their journeys together.

5/7 Boris Tane, founder of Baselime, grew up in Cameroon wanting to program but without a computer. After moving to the UK and quickly learning English he went from not knowing what a web server was, to developing new software architecture patterns. @BorisTane @baselimeHQ

Sometimes it's the plumbing that few people want to deal with that becomes the most interesting. I see a lot of plumbing over in the billing world 👀

Here's why @sequoia's @laurenmhreeder & @BogieBalkansky, along with @Zuora & @stripe are betting big on enterprise billing. protocol.com/enterprise/ent

There’s the infrastructure that everyone talks about to run your business - with AWS and Datadog types. And there is infrastructure that no one talks about, but is just as critical - the latest example being for taxes. Critical for selling anywhere in the world 🌎🌍🌏.

This. The secret is not more selling, it's asking more questions 👇

As Segment grew from open source afterthought to the leading customer data platform, we "refound" product market fit several times. Surprising to me as a product person, our biggest learnings in PMF were from wildly uncomfortable questions from our sales team 👀 a thread 1/14
