I knew all about the threats and abuse, but I didn't know about this thing called "incel". I've informed myself since. Which is kind of how we learn, no?

Agreed! I’m thinking more about people who brand themselves/make a living as feminist thinkers/writers only rather than journos or other professions as well, who now say they didn’t know about the term. Seemed a bit odd.

Mmmmm -- I consider myself a feminist thinker and writer. But ok.https://www.qbd.com.au/generation-f-sex-power-the-young-feminist/virginia-trioli/9781863305136/ …

I didn’t mean to offend! I have your book, read it when I was in uni and loved it. I thought the incel/MRA/MGTOW movement was pretty well known by now was all

Obviously I was wrong- we need more coverage in mainstream media about these dangerous groups
-
I think it's the circles "we" run in online; like it's ***everywhere*** we are, Incels/r*d pillers etc have been on our radars since they came after Zoe Quinn; it's about time the rest of the world shone some sunlight there

The massacre at Ecole Polytechnique was in 1989. This is not a new attitude of men.

I’m really fucking tired of having to fight against the belief that men are entitled to women’s space, time and bodies. Far too many men seem to think they can sit by and things will get better. It isn’t and they’re lazy.

I’ve been on Twitter for years. I first heard about it a couple of days ago when some asshole drove into pedestrians because he was an asshole murderer who thought he could blame the cops for killing him. Spoiler alert:they didn’t.

I don't know if celibacy was one of the killer's grievances in the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre, but it seems like a strong corollary.

A New label! How do we protect ourselves lawfully from men (& women & all) who use significant intimidation and terror? then play victim!
-
Unless perpetrators threaten 2kill or hurt, police r helpless.U can publish photos of their behaviour, however a defamation letter is awful.
