Conservative Southerners switched in the 60's to the Republican Party, where they espouse those historical "Democrat" values - *today*.

No, the confederates weren’t evil and you were taught false history. They are trying to erase American History, all of it, which is the cohesive unit that inspires our freedom as Americans. When you turn people against their heritage, you’ve defeat them, and can enslave them.
