Interesting. But that seems more about political divisions which get expressed via time zone disagreements, rather than about practical issues stemming from having a single time zone.

Absolutely. But a single world time zone could raise interesting questions about norms and power — such as which regions get to have more of their waking hours in daylight and which places accommodate other places.
