How did Democratic primary voters' *issue priorities* affect who they thought won the debate? @baseballot and I find that while Warren did best among voters across issue priorities, she did especially well among electability and climate voters. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/who-won-the-debate-among-voters-who-prioritize-electability-health-care-climate-change/ …pic.twitter.com/1BdoxBFUrU

We also looked at the pre- to post-debate changes in which candidates different issue voters were considering voting for. Lots to unpack here, since the impact of the change depends in part on how well candidates were doing among these groups before the debate.pic.twitter.com/hi297tvoHw

But it's worth noting that Warren's improvement among electability voters, while not that substantively large, does mean that she is now being considered by 54.2% of these respondents, trailing only Biden at 68.4%. (Sanders, in third, is at only 35.5%.)

Unsurprisingly for a relatively uneventful debate, respondents' issue priorities hardly changed -- both before and after, the biggest group said what was most important to them was the ability to beat Trump.pic.twitter.com/snqn2D4LyT

One of my favorite things about our debate poll with @Ipsos was that we asked about respondents' most important issue -- it's clearly an important lens through which voters are seeing the primary, so I'm glad we got to explore how it affected their experience of the debate.
