    I agree with the growing sentiment that software is becoming more and more complex. It's also becoming more and more about amassing a large amount of tool specific trivia and less about fundamental knowledge. This trivia changes fast, so knowledge is worth much less.

    One thing that really bugs me. People in my field (sorry folks) don't know how to negotiate. Not talking about salary here. I mean general discourse. Empathy for the other side is nearly always missing. It gets especially bad when one side feels they have the moral high ground.
