Dear @TeamYouTube I have a confusion regarding reuse content. If I use someone's full video which was uploaded under “creative common licence” on YouTube with my own commentary & on-screen present on first & last of that CC video will my channel be monetized?

If you upload content from multiple sources, or reupload/repurpose someone else’s existing content (ie “reuse content”) then you won’t be eligible for YPP. Check out the FAQs and best practices here: https://yt.be/help/reused-content … and you can always reapply in 30 days.

The answer to Question 3 in the FAQ is nonsense! The entire reason you, as a company, would be against one channel wholescale using the content of another “without adding your own unique value” is ... the point of copyright and fair use law! Like. It’s why the body of law exists!

“This isn’t abt permission or copyright or fair use.” Yes it is. Otherwise you wouldn’t draw distinctions abt User B reusing User A’s content *w/o putting a unique spin on it.* You’re promoting original content *but the ideology is informed by copyright & fair use principles!*
