I've never liked "The Star-Spangled Banner", but it's because the melody can drive anyone to sleep, it's so slow, and the melody is not even that original, it's a British drinking song. I've always thought the "Stars and Stripes Forever" should be our national anthem.

Not a bad choice. I still prefer America the Beautiful, though.

I get it, but who woke up this morning and said, "What this country really needs is to open another front in the Culture Wars." Seriously?

But it's not a new front. It was always a myth that they only wanted to "cancel" Confederate generals. ALL of our history must be repudiated, apologized for, erased, & rewritten to fit the socialist manifesto, because otherwise there is no sane case for socialism

I'm so glad I cancelled my subscription to the LA Times. What next, rename Washington, D.C.? George Washington was a slave owner, no one condones that but where does this end?
