You get some discussion of this in the literature (which
@FemisMusic's piece is now officially a part of yay!) - for some reason thinking this way is counter-intuitive to people, so even when folk pledge themselves to think/act "intersectionally" they often end up doing opposite.

Ah I am not sure. My guess: people lower their standards for work they agree with, raise it for work they disagree with, so the net effect hard to work out and a lot depends on context of evaluation.
