3am #philosophy interview with Peter Singer. Thought this was odd. I agree with Singer that historical facts about who had revolutions when are plainly inconsistent with Marx's predictions. I'm #NoHeroes, so no trouble saying Marx was wrong about stuff.

But Singer suggests that capitalism generating a lot of wealth quickly in China, and transitioning direct from feudalism to communism generally not working, refutes Marx. That capitalism generates wealth quickly and you need it before communism sound like just what Marx thought?
yeah that point is bizarre, absent some I guess thought about the distribution of that wealth (I wouldn't guess that that would support Singer either, but who knows)
