I think if you are white and want to part of the 'people of letter' mfas are great. But why would you write to say, hey this was great? Who would commission whose articles? Also how many successful authors credit mfrs - lots. These critical articles are not the entire pop

Yeah I did think that maybe there’s just a disparity in who writes about it. That said, in philosophy we get about equal “this degree wasted my life!” and “western civilisation needs more people to take this degree/it’s the reason I’m a tech gajillionaire” popular articles on us.
