This definitely has a pragmatist, Peircean feel to it. I know he was interested what amounts to the economics of abduction. This may be part of what you were referring when you mentioned Peircean abduction?

Thank you, I take that as high praise! Indeed Peirce's works on the economics of science and on abduction have very much influenced my thinking here, and elsewhere.
