Lots of hate on microaggressions is boring culture war agitprop. To which, you know, whatever. But sometimes folk who seem serious also hate. What’s implausible or overly delicate about idea of series of small irritations, no 1 of which is a big deal but collectively v. annoying?
Huh I wouldn't have thought of this as falling under `microaggressions' at all!

I don't understand how i's an instance of the more explicit definition you gave. I thought of paradigm case microaggressions as stuff like folk saying ``You really are quite exceptional'' whenever you do a good thing, or being confused for The Help at professional gatherings etc.
