      I went to a fairly posh secondary school in Britain that was none the less a state school with a mixed population. A lasting effect this has had on me (apparent since I moved to America) is my vague sense of horror at the gauche people who can’t distinguish wealth from class.

      Ah no it was mixed, literal actual aristocrats going to the same school as kids from the estate in Peckham. Mostly middle class o agree, but I’ll credit them where due and I do think they brought together quite a wide variety of folk.
