@lastpositivist Who do you think is doing the best work in consequentialist and/or utilitarian moral philosophy these days?
I haven’t really thought about it as a comparative exercise! I know that Neil Sinhababu is a utilitarian and has a paper on it and maybe it’s touched upon in his recent book so maybe start here - https://philpapers.org/profile/259 - but more strongly I feel that I’m the wrong person to ask!

I see. How do you feel about Railton? He's probably my favorite living moral philosopher.

I like him, but know him more for Marxist philosophy of science than his defence of moral realism.
