Moral realism is strangest thing my colleagues widely believe. It's like everyone around me is sensible, sober minded, and believes that fairies steal milk on the window sill and consider it bizarre when one thinks we really ought look for some other explanation for missing milk.
Ah plenty of times I don't know what to do, but never in such circumstances has debating moral ontology or meta-semantics helped! (Other issues just don't arise in my life.)

Same -- I just find, re: why quasi-realism, that appeals to not-yet-fully-articulated norms are pretty indispensable. Like, when I write a poem, I want the poem to be good-by-my-lights, and deciding whether it is is a very inquiry-like process

Like, I take quasi-realism to basically be the proposition that a process of normative deliberation can be indistinguishable from philosophical inquiry at least up to a point

Anyway sorry if my tone got weird, metaethics always agitates me for some reason
