I just train them on how to raise the letter M at the right time. That's the only transferable skill they'll need in other philosophy classes.

An intro course consisting entirely of the early logical positivists (esp their cultural and political motivations) would do more good than 99% of the Historical Survey of the Canon or The Central Problems of Analytic M&E.
