I quite like Williamson’s description that philosophers are attempting to just “discursively muddle through”. He meant it as a criticism, but it sounds good to me.
I kind of expected folk in #philosophy to disagree with me about this post, since my impression was that lots of us think we are comparing theories according to their virtues?
