If heroes weren't overwhelmingly white and male it might be fine. (
@lastpositivist might disagree?) But that's not the world we live in.
I do disagree! Problem is with the role heroes play in academic culture not the particular heroes we have: office, not holder. #NoHeroes

Ah hard to say on twitter but briefly: leads to unnecessary & harmful homogenisation of our knowledge base and thought styles in philosophy.
