Does utilitarianism ever get considered in continental philosophy? My impression is continental philosophers are hostile to it; I wonder why

@lastpositivist Foucault also wrote a pretty good piece about Bentham's Panopticon...
@ethicistforhire ... but not many cases where the focus was actually on the utilitarianism, save the odd dismissive remark
