@cathyby @lastpositivist I'm not so sure… He did say we need "therapy", are "held captive by a picture", & was modest about his own sanity!

@bowmanthebard @lastpositivist Is that "we" philosophers or /everyone/? The modesty about his own sanity seems missing in this book?

@cathyby @lastpositivist Personally, I think philosophical idea that we only perceive "phenomena" is delusional, serious illness there.

@bowmanthebard @lastpositivist It's a handy solution, but could stall progress, just as ignoring of inner states stalled psychology.

@cathyby @bowmanthebard ... because unless one is keen to take on the Tortured Genius persona, I doubt philosophy really does any harm...
