Fenn, my nearly 4 year old daughter, recorded her first ever solo song today. She came up with all the words herself and I helped her a little bit with the tune. It’s called ‘Dinosaurs in Love’. 🦕❤️🦕

Very excited to share the second publication from my dissertation! We use observational and experimental approaches to show that high makes males less cooperative.

Incredible 3D visualisation of a human embryo in the fifth week of life. Note the tail and fishlike appearance. All vertebrate embryos look roughly like this; we start from the same place, then diverge as we develop. Humans are modified fish.

We had been rather proud of our 20 genome assembly project in Heliconius, and now we find that Nick Grishin's group has sequenced ALL 845 NORTH AMERICAN BUTTERFLY SPECIES! Mental!

This is an easy result to predict; cultures that fetishize long hours in the office are often extremely wasteful of time as people engage in performative simulation of work

Guys, yesterday I was so lucky to film how mom tardigrade, in a moulting process, lays eggs in the space inside her old cuticle! Currently, the embryos are developing well. Fast-motion video. 🎵🎵🎵 from Cantabrian mountains. Video:

A few days ago, I made a narrated post and you liked it so much that I decided to make another one! I won’t guarantee that I will make a narration for every post, but I will try my best to make more of them. This one is with the algae eudorina!

On top of being tiresome, this framework is literally killing journalism; the more writers conclude (justifiably) that scolding is more remunerative for less effort than reporting, the more the entire media landscape is gonna look like this
