Both your comment and the original tweet come off as extremely “old man yells at cloud.” Don’t act like if every single one of these people had had smartphones with recording capabilities back then they wouldn’t have used them. It’s stupid and wrong.

I'm not so sure they'd be missing out on anything. Being there is the memory, but to have an important video tidbit for the rest of your life to enjoy is well worth it to watch it through your phone.

The thing I find bizarre about this is: I have aphantasia. I literally have no visual memory. My camera is important to me. (Actual camera, not phone.) It's how I am able to revisit memories with a visual anything. I use it *far less* than a lot of people use their phones.

This makes me sad. It also makes me think of Wall-e.
