Two important things to know about the new Trump Medicaid block grant plan: 1. It gives states lots of leeway to curtail benefits and restrict coverage. 2. It lowers Medicaid spending by capping federal dollars and encouraging states to spend less by sharing in federal savings.

Can this be accomplished through administrative action without violating existing statutes?

This is so depressing. It’s been a long hard slog to get 37 states to expand Medicaid. I’m sure the 13 non expansion states will jump on this & probably other red states. It’s just a way to divert funds away from healthcare for the poor.

Here's y this might qualify for a
#Section1115 waiver: Rem the legal std for Medicaid demos: that they improve health (either improve coverage / overall health). Key assumption in MSM is that *prices & std.s of care stay same*. But there is another way..cc@ddiamond,@SeemaCMS - Još 1 odgovor
