I may need a new pinned tweet: President Trump is supporting a lawsuit to overturn the ACA, including pre-existing condition protections. He has also expanded short-term plans, which are not required to cover pre-existing conditions.

You may remember when Trump mentioned these plans. It was right before he said "We will always protect patients with pre-existing conditions. That is a guarantee."

President Trump saying he will ensure protections for people with pre-existing conditions as well as Medicare and Social Security. He gets high marks for these issues among Republicans but overall has negative net favorability on these issues.

In his SOTU address, Trump alluded to these short-term plans that aren't required to cover pre-existing protections and called them "better" than ACA-compliant plans that do have to cover them.

Here we demonstrate, with data, why the short-term plans expanded by President Trump have lower premiums primarily because they don’t cover pre-existing conditions.

Ironically, the cheaper health insurance plans that President Trump has expanded are short-term plans that don’t cover pre-existing conditions.

It feels like we’re in for a continued debate in the Democratic campaign over Medicare for all versus Medicare for all who want it.

You forgot the HRA rule. Supposed to be used by 800,000 employers to provide coverage to more than 11 million workers and dependents. Cut uninsured by about 1 million.

I live in Silicon Valley where tech "disrupts" health care. But good thing the Iowa App isn't monitoring your heart condition.

Health was a top issue for Democratic Iowa caucusgoers in two major "entrance" polls and it will continue to be a hot issue, especially if Bernie does well. But, it was NOT a top factor in the vote. That was beating Donald Trump. (Keeping him is the top factor for R's).

President Trump is expected to emphasize health care in tonight's SOTU -- so & I looked at his actual record. Some highlights: -Drug prices aren't down -He hasn't protected pre-ex conditions -Health care isn't cheaper

Seven in 10 Iowa caucus goers support Medicare for all. Almost 9 in 10 support a public option. Health care is a big issue for Democratic voters. But, the vast majority are supportive of any of the approaches advocated by the candidates.
