I think Hugh Laurie has done it best ("House"). I too, check for these things!!! I try to ignore it but it's impossible! Also, in the HBO series, "Deadwood," check out how well several British, Irish and Scottish actors got away with it (very well indeed!)

The big tell for me is "anything" -- both Brits and Aussies tend to slip and pronounce it "en-uh-thing" instead of the American "en-ee-thing" for some reason
