@mjtsai I think sudo softwareupdate --clear-catalog is sufficient by itself. That's all I needed to to.

@lapcatsoftware@mjtsai meant to add .plist? on 10.12, defaults says the domain doesn't exist for me, ended up removing and killing cfprefsd -
@lapcatsoftware@mjtsai maybe the clear catalog cmd would've worked, hard to tell when app store didn't update immediately and spinlocked
