@chetman This is almost exactly me. Touch bar has potential. Other specs are too close to my 3yo version for the price.
These aren't Luddites who simply hate change. These are people who already had blank checks written to Apple but had to tear up the checks.

Underlying arch is faster, but 1TB drive and 16GB RAM is the same. GPU weak for 2016 and price is high.

with both, not just cold hard specs (which imho the MBP still kills the market on anyway)

If I were buying on specs, I'd get a "New Razer Blade". Better or the same in areas I care about. Less $

I'd likely buy new MBP if 16GB and 1TB were less than $3000 (incl adapters I'd need). Current one was.

I've had it, just ordered a Razer laptop and a Pixel phone. After 10+ years of everything Apple, I'm just done.
