Oh, I see. If you selected "Automatically update Chrome for all users", then it asks for admin pw and installs the updater in /Library/Google/ instead of ~/Library/Google/ and has root privileges. Yeah, don't do that.pic.twitter.com/GC9aEqG8XL

When “Install for all users” is set, do you know if it will ask for admin pw each time or only the first time? I only tested with it set for user and do not get prompted.
