Just because someone speaks the language doesn’t mean they are fit to teach it, otherwise we’d have 300 million people qualified to teach English classes.

They all seem perfectly fine teachers if we look at how well their children learn English.

Except a lot of native speakers don’t understand language acquisition and actually focus on teaching facts ABOUT the language. If they just talked to their students (comprehensible) it would be better.
