I think we have misconceptions here of what studying grammar has to look like. “Avoid grammar” is what many ppl take as a conclusion and to me that’s got the same damaging potential as “wait to speak”

I'm doing pretty well avoiding grammar. Many people are. Why would it be damaging?
That doesn't say anything about why it would be damaging.
