    I have issued a directive through the Office of the Prime Minister regarding illegal evictions. These evictions are permitted by corrupt officials in the district. Using the powers given to the President by Articles 98(1) and 99(1) of the Constitution, I direct as follows:

    Today and partner organizations held a press conference to support the communities of Kyriandongo. They asked to the Uganda Government to respect their land rights ! You can show your support by signing the petition here:

    Legal remedies or procedures should be provided to those affected by land eviction orders. All the affected individuals have a right to adequate compensation for any affected property, both personal and real.
