This summer we had one exceptional intern on our team who really became part of the family. As a farewell gift he sketched the team, with himself pictured on the bottom right. I love how young and scruffy he made me look (2nd-row, middle.)

What I love about working on the Quick Mockup plugin for is that we’re focused on making UX design something that everyone can do. Everyone has ideas and should be able to visualize them.

Yesterday I drove up to Salmon Creek Beach and enjoyed some nice waves and surfed with a friend who moved to Sonoma. Water was warm! One strange thing is the area is suffering from a red tide caused by the wineries, killing sea life.

We just had an amazing summer intern on our team who produced some super creative work. He created an awesome prototype imagining the future of casual drawing within Japanese messaging app LINE. We're going to miss him!

If and I are elected, we’re going to inherit multiple crises, a nation divided, and a world in disarray. We won’t have a minute to waste. That's exactly why I picked her: She's ready to lead on day one.

In support of Black Lives Matter, my son Euan Shields recorded himself performing all parts of Beethoven's 5th on the cello. Each instrument represents a protester. He sees Beethoven's 5th as a symbol of uprising and rebellion.

Quick Mockup plugin for features loads of great themes to style your mockups. Here's a rad dark theme called "Radiance". It's clearly one of my favorites with the electric color palette, clean type, and cool photos. Try Quick Mockup:

I had a very inspiring chat with Istanbul graphic designer, educator, publisher, and event organizer who shared about her creative world and a Turkish design scene that seems so removed from New York where she did her masters.
