    The association came to my mind as well as I was writing the tweet! I am sure some of these statisticians have the best intentions (do not use p-values to make dichotomous decisions, weigh evidence, etc) but when users take the 'do not correct' *and* make decisions....

    Also nicely explained in the intro of the 3rd edition of his book. "An example is the end of Chapter 1: “anything goes” is not a “principle” I hold". I guess the lesson is the 😉 emoticon should be used more often in philosophy books.

    Thanks for this. VERY interesting to finally read the context of this quote. The second part is cited a lot but it really gets its meaning in contrast to the first part (which is I think the bigger problem of the two).
