Well, a book is not helping US right now. People are dying cause of the hate produced by those subs protected by Steve Huffman. Every minute this goes on will be increasing the risk for the next fascist driven kill. I hope you care for that in the proper way.

1) If there was a hypothetical pro-ISIS subreddit called "The_Abu" with half a million users, if The_Abu posts calling for violence against genocide against whites and/or Christians received thousands of upvotes,

2 if The_Abu's moderators refused to enforce the rules against vote brigading and/or inciting violence until another subreddit called them out on allowing these threats to remain posted (and often not even deleting them after being called out on allowing them)

3) and if users with names like "Raddaq4Truth" had been already linked to real-life murders, would The_Abu have been shut down? Or would Huffman insist that “Generally the mods of the_abu have been cooperative when we approach them with systematic abuses…

I seriously suggest you peruse r/againsthatesubreddits before interviewing Steve Huffman. There are continued calls for violence against women, Muslims, even the Parkland shooting survivors. Reddit continues to be a haven for these people and admins have done little to fix it.

You know what made Serial, S-town, etc. great? They let the story drive. If you & your staff know Reddit well, you know that even now, *nobody* is really telling the whole *extremely important* story of how dangerous Reddit has become. Throw out the candy.
