Ladywalk nature reserve is located near Coleshill. It is area of over a 100 acres of floodplain along the river Tame and is run by the West Midlands Bird Club.

    8 Chiffchaff in Hawthorns at Rudd pool scrub inc 30c Goldfinch, 1 Bullfinch +15 Linnet 2 Yellowhammer f/o paddocks. Jackdaw 5000+ 50c Pied wag f/o to Sainsbury’s roost Some thrashing around in reeds at B at 5.30 but no Bittern seen. (FWduck,5 Shelduck,2 Gypos+ 4 Goosander PL)

    The latest assessment of the UK's birds has just been published in the journal British Birds - . Sadly, the most recent estimate of Willow Tit breeding pairs has decreased further, now to 2,750 pairs. The last estimate in 2009 was 3,400 pairs.

    It's . Our reserve is part of a connected wetland landscape, home to otters, avocet, bittern, 20+ Odonata species (the list goes on!) Middleton Lakes & the Tame valley is an important place where people working together are helping wildlife thrive
