The part of me that wants to give benefit of the doubt says we can't be sure Steve isn't a terrible person.

But, I mean, probably not.
-
I mean based on what we see here...he would've been terrible lmao.
-
Yeah, but what I mean is he might be intentionally terrible. Like he represents men and how they react to powerful women. But I doubt it.
-
Oh I'm on track now. That'd be cool but tbh I think you're giving him too much credit
-
Oh I'm sure I am. I've never been a member of the "Joss Whedon, wow what a feminist" camp.
-
As far as I can tell his "strong woman" characters are just written as men where he's changed the gender. Most of his women are objects.
-
Mmhmmm!!! And the praise he gets for it really bugs me lol

I'm starting to question if Buffy was as feminist and empowering as I originally thought
-
It's v white but it's still decent in other ways for the 90s. But Buffy strong is the only type of character Whedon can write imo
-
Faith was a much more interesting character.
-
Mmm I like both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

...ok? Literally talking about the script and directors here and how Whedon was the wrong choice but go off I guess.

What in the actual fuck is this? Professionals actually drafted this?
