Both probably reduce to "delegate vote to Dev team".

The governance decisions we make now can have a lot of consequences long into the future. And they very probably will.

I agree that governance is one of the most important topics for blockchain technology.

For public blockchains, the most important challenge I see today is weak accountability. Who do I call if the network is down?

Responsiveness and accountability are different things. It sounds like you're asking for responsiveness.

Perhaps the word accountability has too strong a connotation. My main concern is technical support and product support. How do you blend today's centralized technical support into a decentralized governance model?

Well the obvious thing is that it's the application developers' responsibility to do that, rather than the blockchain's. The google play store doesn't support you when your Twitter app breaks, except maybe in exceptional circumstances.

Like take the UX of an app lets you easily irreversible and accidentally send any amount of money to anyone. It's really unsafe. Which is why app developers should build smart wallets that asks for confirmations. At a very absolute minimum.

I agree. This is still very young technology and we will get there. The tech still makes it relatively easy for small errors to have large irreversible implications. And than the pressure shifts to the Foundation.

What if the Foundation provided paid technical support and the dApp developers could choose to pay in case some major issue requires dedicated resources. Linux Foundation found this model working for them.
