Oh and her mother is Mexican-American. Really hit the bullseye with this one.

She works with Stephen Miller creating immigration policy targeting Mexicans and Muslims and stripping children away from parents to put them in cages. You can be a white supremacist and be of Jewish/Mexican descent,
@lachlan. Just like you can be a misogynist and be a woman. -
Absolutely. It's also entirely possible that she and Stephen concocted this little on-camera schtick just to own the libs. You don't get that seat behind the nominee by chance. I put nothing past any of them. Look where they work, who they work for, and what they do for a living.
-
Yes. Especially since she is noticeably absent now from what I hear.
-
They put Ms. Rice there in her place.
-
These MAGA, xenophobic, white power types actually do get a huge kick out of liberals getting exercised about stunts like this. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was just a stunt so they could laugh at "owning the libs" as we get distracted from the substance of the hearings.

That's not too different from Stephen Miller's background. No proof she's racist, but not really a defense from being one either
-
maybe we could give the woman of Mexican and Polish-Jewish ancestry the benefit of the doubt and not read Naziism into her posture?
-
I don't read Naziism into her posture, but I definitely do in that she worked on immigration policy for Trump.
-
'nazism' is too much, but I did not know she worked on immigration policy for Trump! Definitely not a point in favor of her non racist bona fides
-
What race are these illegal immigrants.? Have you ever been south of the border? There are millions of white people also living throughout the Southern countries. Unless they spoke to you, you wouldn't know what country they are from. Stop with these racism accusations.

Important to realize that people can belong to minority groups but be biased quite strongly against other minority groups. There’s lots of research on this phenomenon.https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2017/04/19/524571669/model-minority-myth-again-used-as-a-racial-wedge-between-asians-and-blacks …

In addition people can be biased against those they share ethnicity with as a reaction to the biased society.https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2017/03/08/519010491/why-mixed-race-americans-will-not-save-the-country …

And she’s the daughter of a climate denier who produced a denialist “documentary” - the crazy runs deep in this one.
-
Anyone who believes this climate change schtick is a moron. Said a PHD from Johns Hopkins I have known my entire life. You are being played
-
Whom you conveniently decline to name? Sure tater.
-
It's a PhD in art history.
-
I don't know--I know quite a few art history PhD's. They're all smart enough to believe in climate change.
-
Well, I was going to go with professor of post-colonial history, but I thought better of it.
-
There is a strong case made against climate change. It has to do with the Chinese using it to become economically superior to the USA. Look into it interesting stuff. Also it hasn’t been scientifically proven so of course there will be skeptics just like you have with religion.
-
I weep for your Penn professors. I'm sure they tried.
