Imo you can’t have one without the other. The guild system arose out of the power dynamics of feudalism. I don’t think you can just amputate it and and sow it back onto modern conceptions of socialism. It’s too intrinsically tied to the authoritarianism of king and church.
Guilds were a thing because it presented a way to exit the serf/noble dichotomy and gain social status through a parallel institution. While your idea of socialism may possibly solve alienation, it negates the social capital of guilds, the elevation above the masses
