His prominence is actually a result of western leftism painting him as a Slavic reactionary boogeyman. I mean the man has some interesting ideas, but to describe him as some highly influential figure is laughable.

I guarantee you events would’ve occurred the same way if he was absent. Ideologues have a way of being proximal to events of historical importance in order to inflate the appearance of their own importance.
