Greece, Turkey, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Vietnam. The list goes on. There’s plenty of examples of concentrating target populations and removing them without it resulting in genocide.

If leftism is a confederation of the “outs” of a society, then any attempt to remove a part of this coalition *has* to result in genocide thus providing an high moral impetus to act to preserve the coalition. It’s merely political mythology and there’s nothing noble about it.
