      @kzernike @Yamiche Earlier version said there were paid protestors outside the hearing. Why removed? Correction coming?

      nope, there were paid protesters. We took out for more details of hearing as it progressed (not room for everything!)

      Why not leave it in the web version? Quietly cutting such an explosive detail fuels readers' worst assumptions.
