But harder to answer is 2. Will Dem primary voters decide the party needs a disciplined – the term Harris prefers to “cautious” – candidate in a general election against a famously undisciplined POTUS? Or is her caution a risk when voters seek authenticity?

You cans wap that round for progressive candidates - can a candidate who is essentially progressive excite moderates? Whoever we end up with has to unify Democrats and get as many people as possible to vote, whether that means boosting progressives, moderates or independents
