Is @NYTimes The Daily always this awful 1) Bogus potted history of Brat v. Cantor studiously ignores immigration.( It was all about Obamacare! Hello? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2014/06/11/yes-immigration-reform-hurt-eric-cantor/?utm_term=.5985f123e2be …) 1/https://nyti.ms/2DcsOQZ
AMA hated Medicare, as has been written about extensively. In this instance I mentioned SS, unpopular at first. And actually we did discuss demographic changes you mention. Thanks for correcting handle, all the same.

FDR's SS pensions had teething problems. But you lumped in Medicare as one of entitlements that "start out unpopular."(6:02 in). Don't think so:.Medicare was popular w/ voters right out of the box (despite AMA hate) https://www.asaging.org/blog/medicare-reflected-public-opinion … Obvious ?: Why wasn't O'care as popular?

Obamacare didn't even start coming into effect until 2014, four years after it lost Democrats the House.

Re: demographic changes--you discuss move to suburbs, which become more moderate. You don't mention that the Brat district was actually REDRAWN to include more of these suburbs. That undermines using it as big test case the way the show does.
