I am following btw, I’m just in disbelief! And maybe I’m not even in disbelief, because I’m not surprised. I need a hard reset and to be submerged in rice
I’m also not sure I’m following Elon suspending any accounts that post the public information tied to his private jet’s activity for “doxxing” but there’s still a video up for his 120+ million followers showing the face and license plate of someone he alleges committed a crime
So Twitter is supposedly not paying rent, expenses from fired employees are getting denied, they’re looking for a way out of paying severance, Elon just sold another $3.6 billion in Tesla stock, they’re auctioning off furniture, and they suspended a competitor. Is that… all?
response to Elon twtr files:
1. It's on me/I was CEO, but really blame activist investors
2. If only I had as much control as Zuck none of this would have happened
3. Elon's incitement against my ex colleagues is mean, but I won't directly call him out on it
Prison time for fraud varies based on the dollar amount. Elizabeth Holmes was given 11+years for $140 million worth of investments.
SBF has just been charged with fraud on $1.1 billion in US-based investments. ($1.8bn total)
“I don’t think I will be arrested,” Sam Bankman-Fried said earlier today, per the New York Post. https://nypost.com/2022/12/12/sam-bankman-fried-to-skip-testifying-in-person-before-congress-because-hes-quite-overbooked/…
Elon Musk said "unhinged leftists" were booing him at last night's Chappelle show. I talked to some of the people who booed, and two said it was actually Musk's antagonism toward former Twitter employees that made them mad
Twitter's former head of trust and safety has fled his home due to an escalation in threats resulting from Elon Musk's campaign of criticism against him, a person familiar with the matter told CNN. https://cnn.it/3Wb4BQl
feels like everything is on fire and some coffee lovers are in a subreddit like "what machines are they it sounds like a good deal" sigh sometimes the world is good
The stuff uncovered in the Twitter whistleblower report is much crazier than anything in the "Twitter files" but it's much less politically/tribally salient so it got no attention. Going to do a thread on some of the craziest things, in no particular order.
