

hmmm ...you left me thinking...what if the person is totally new to the industry, has no clients at all, but then wins and after that gets tons of big clients? Would you still suggest is still a bad idea?

Yes but for graphic designers and illustrator like me is a chance to show off. It’s like “ehy, I’m here and this is my art!!”

Not really aimed at pros. Students or anyone needing inspiration can knock something out. If you’re just going to do a piece of fanart for your social media account, what’s the harm having some direction? People have gotten big deals doing fanart.

The main issue is the rights grab. Did you read the terms? Also, I got paid to do illustration work as a student. Being a student doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get paid for your work.

What if this is just a way to feature fans and designers work in addition to the millions they have already spent and will spend on the designs and posters for this movie? Does that change your opinion?
