Enraging and unsurprising report. I represent eight women sexually assaulted by prison guards. The guards who do this do it again and again. My clients who reported were put in solitary, used as bait, and one was kept in prison for three months longer as a result of reporting.

I’m optimistic the debt limit will be raised. But thinking more, if talks fail, the 14th Amendment & platinum coin are not workable break glass options. Both bad economic/financial risks (possibly even more than prioritization) & would likely be blocked by the Supreme Court.
